About pro clima
We are Focused on Health.
Operating in more than 40 countries worldwide, Pro Clima enables healthy living conditions by protecting building structures from external and internal moisture, wind and water damage.
Our Purpose
Pro Clima inspires and educates people to create healthy, durable and energy-efficient buildings to live, learn, work and play in - now, and for generations to come.
Our Philosophy
At Pro Clima, people are at the heart of everything we do. Our employees are our most valuable asset, and we understand that work is a significant part of their lives. That’s why we strive to create an environment that fosters purposeful, meaningful work. We provide the autonomy for each individual to excel in their role and contribute in ways that reflect their strengths. By empowering our team, we support both professional growth and overall well-being.
Our History
In 1978, Lothar Moll—now one of the Managing Directors and sole owner of MOLL bauökologische Produkte GmbH—opened an advice centre for ecological construction. This early venture laid the foundation for what would eventually become Pro Clima.
In the early 1980s, the business expanded with the Biologische Insel (Biological Island), a supplier focused exclusively on ecological building materials. From 1985, the first convection protection and vapour control membranes were developed and sold under the B.I. Baupappen brand name, including ECO COLL natural latex adhesive and DB+ building paper. The Pro Clima brand was introduced in 1994, bringing together a suite of products that formed part of a complete and professional airtightness system.
In 2004, Pro Clima set new benchmarks in moisture management and structural protection with the launch of the high-performance INTELLO system.
Today, Pro Clima supplies complete interior and exterior sealing systems—featuring intelligent membranes, tapes, adhesives, fasteners, quality assurance tools, and technical services.
Pro Clima New Zealand was established in 2006 to bring these proven systems and building science expertise to Aotearoa. Based in Wellington, the NZ team works closely with architects, builders, and educators across the country to improve the health, durability, and energy performance of New Zealand buildings.

Working Towards a Brighter Future
Achieving a high quality of life for everyone on our planet depends on the thoughtful and systematic implementation of intelligent solutions.
The mindful use of technologies and systems—in other words, knowledge—offers tremendous potential in the construction sector. Pro Clima has been developing and strengthening this holistic expertise since the 1980s, forming the foundation for ongoing innovation.
Reducing energy consumption through thermal insulation and intelligently sealing building envelopes are simple yet powerful actions that can positively shape our shared future. Sustainable development is one of the most significant challenges of our time—let’s all play our part.
