Thomas holds an engineering degree specialising in building physics from the University of Applied Science in Rosenheim, Germany. Having worked in Germany, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, Thomas gained extensive knowledge on airtightness, thermal bridging and healthy homes.

Thomas is one of the most experienced Blower Door technicians in New Zealand and began distributing Minneapolis Blower Door equipment in New Zealand 13 years ago.
Thomas has been the General Manager of Pro Clima New Zealand Ltd and Pro Clima Australia Pty Ltd since 2006. Thomas has been sharing knowledge with industry and research institutions on how building standards can be improved and his work has resulted in a significant publication, A New Zealand Based Study on Airtightness and Moisture Management.

He has featured as a keynote speaker at numerous events organized by industry, regulatory and private organisations, including the South Pacific Passive House Conference, NZIBS Conference, as well as events organised by city councils throughout New Zealand, BOINZ, NZIA, NZGBC and many others.
Thomas is passionate about knowledge transfer and dedicated to improving the building standards in Oceania to create a long term solution that ensures healthy living for everyone.
